February 10 & 11, 2018 – Dog Lovers Days Festival – Kitchener
Bring your dog along to enjoy a day filled with lots of fun! Featuring a 25,000 sq.ft. indoor doggie play ground, including an agility lure course, a speed lure course, 4,000 sq.ft. fenced in leash free play zone, weight pulling and tug of war, as well as many more. This event also includes a 20,000 sq.ft. shopping experience featuring a number of vendors from the most popular dog brands to smaller local dog vendors. Sponsored by Bullwrinkles, Iron Will Raw Pet Food, Soos, Nutram, Benny Bullys, and Fou Fou.

February 25, 2018 – Westie Indoor Play Day – Richmond Hill
Call all Westies! Westies in Need Rescue is inviting you and your dog to Westie Indoor Play Day. Your dog not a fan of the cold? Thats no problem, this FUNdraiser is an indoor event with lots of space for furry friend to play and have fun. Westies are welcome to be off leash so they can take in the full experience. While the dogs enjoy meeting other four legged friends, the humans can peruse the sales tables or the?”Gently Used Paw it Forward” table. Full of free Westie items such as coats, jackets, sweaters, collars and leashes as well as anything else your Westie needs….all the items on the “Paw it Forward” table are free, Westies in Need just ask for a little donation! While this event is focused on Westies, Westie wannabes (all other dogs) are welcome!

March 30, 2018 – Easter Egg Hunt For Dogs – Guelph, Kitchener, London, Oakville, St.Catharines, Toronto and Windsor
A National Service Dogs fundraiser help annually which started in Oakville in 1998. Since the event has caught on in popularity and now is held in 7 cities across Ontario and one in Alberta. It is held on Good Friday every year. Participants collect pledges and are given two egg cartons to collect up to 24 plastic eggs containing dog treats. One leashed dog per participant welcome.

March 30 – April 1, 2018 – Spring Canadian Pet Expo – Mississauga
An event you won’t want to miss! This year the Canadian Pet Expo organizers are promising that this will be their biggest year to date. Pack up your furry best friend and hit the road to experience a weekend you won’t forget. May 5 & 6, 2018 – KW Pet Expo – Kitchener
The KW Pet Expo is an event that features entertainment such as the popular President’s Choice Superdogs, a wiener dog race, animal ambassadors, Dog Lovers Days lure course, and a pet costume contest. They also have over 100 vendors, featuring products and services, for a variety of different animals. The expo is hoping educate pet owners on the best products and services to take care of the pets and give them the best longest life possible. According to their website “Woofstock was the first festival to allow people to celebrate their dogs, indulge them, party with them and let them show off their special talents in fun and wacky contests and fashion shows. Woofstock is world famous, drawing vendors from across North America. There isn?t a toy, fashion line, accessory, and type of treat or exclusive service for dogs that you can?t find at Woofstock.” This year they are celebrating 15 years, and they are doing it big. This is one festival you and your four legged best friend are not going to want to miss!

June 9 & 10, 2018 – Ottawa Dog Festival – Ottawa
If you life in our nations capital, or are up for a drive, you can check out Ottawa Dog Festival at the beginning of June. They claim to be the best Dog Party in town! This event is outdoors, and dogs and people are welcome. This event features, demos and workshops in the Crumps’ Natural Demo Ring, Dayna’s Pet Sitting Play Zone, Rideau River Dock Dog competitions, St John’s Ambulance doggy first aid workshops, Ottawa Bark Camp interactive training workshops, as well as over 60 vendors showcasing a variety of products and services. There will also be a door prize that all guests will receive a ballot for. Purchase your tickets online in advance for a discounted rate!

Dogs 4 Youth is a massive indoor marketplace for all your animal needs. Their website states that you will find everything that your pet could ever need or want, you may even find something for yourself as well. Dogs 4 Youth’s goal is to “promote the positive impact pet ownership has on youth,” as well as help dogs in shelters to find their furever home! Bring your four legged friend for some shopping fun as you peruse the vendors, and help a great cause at the same time!

June 23, 2018 – Wienerfest – Embro
Calling all Wiener dogs! Do you have a Dachshund? Then this is your event! Enjoy a day filled with all things wiener dogs, were talking costume contests, yogurt licking, races, bobbing for wieners, dachshund demonstrations and much more. There will also be vendors selling goods, food and beverages as well as industry experts. So pack up your Doxie and enjoy a jam packed day of fun!

July 7 & 8, 2018 – Muddy Paws Wine Festival – Vineland
Two of the worlds best combinations, dogs and wine. What better way to spend a weekend summer day than walking your dog and sipping a glass of wine. The event is held at two wineries, Vineland Estates Winery and Featherstone Estate Winery. They are connected by the Bruce Trail providing a nice 20 minute walk for your four legged best friend to enjoy (appropriate foot ware is advised). Some of the proceeds of the event will be donated to local charities including National Service Dogs. Your dog can enjoy fresh baked artisanal dog treats, pet photography, doggie contests, obedience and K9 unit demonstrations, live music, as well as a marketplace for both pet and owner featuring a number of vendors.

July 21, 2018 – Dog Fest Muskoka – Bracebridge
This is Dog Fest Mukoka’s second year, and this year it has changed hands over to the owner of the beloved Dog Lovers Days! The event will feature Dog Lovers Days lure course, two playpens, a performance centre, a stage area, as well as many vendors. 100% of the proceeds go to a local charity as the event is held in memory of Stephen Hern whom passed in September 2016. So while you’re in cottage country this summer, why not take your furry friend for a day of fun!

This year is the 16th Annual Dog Days of Scugog! This is Durham’s largest dog event, which brings you an agility course, breeders and animal rescue experts, contests and many vendors selling products and services. The highlights of this years event are, WoofJocks Canine All Star Performance Team, DogLoversDays Lure Course, Sheepdog Festival, Sporting Detection Dogs Association, Scugog Disc Dog, Wiener Dog Races, Scugogs’ Dogs Got Talent, Fashion Shows and free contests, prizes and activities! Woofa-Roo Pet Fest is Essex County’s only pet and family friendly festival! It is an indoor and outdoor event that you can take your furry friend along to. Spend the day enjoying, life presentations like Dock Diving, Flyball, Dog Agility, Lure Courses, Disc Dog, as well as Dog Races. They will also be having Pony Rides, Charity Contests, and many Specialty Vendors. The event will also feature a silent auction where the proceeds will go towards pet rescues and charities.So if you’re in the area, why not make it a weekend filled with all things dogs!
